CAIRO, June 18 (MENA) – Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said President Abdel Fattah El Sisi warned early that the conflict in the region could escalate into a wider war involving multiple parties. In press statements after the weekly cabinet meeting, Madbouli stated that the current regional escalation and the war in Gaza pose serious threats to regional and global stability. Once the war erupted, Egypt responded immediately by holding an emergency meeting to secure national needs and later formed a crisis committee chaired by the Prime Minister. The committee continues to monitor developments and plans for potential scenarios. Madbouli confirmed Egypt has a strategic reserve of essential goods, including wheat, covering more than six months.
